HYKE x adidas Spring/Summer 2020 Footwear Capsule Releases June 13

After debuting in February of this year, HYKE and adidas’ Spring/Summer 2020 collection will finally be seeing its retail release after delays queuing back as far as April.

HYKE and adidas first linked up back in 2016, delivering a range of womenswear and bespoke footwear. In 2020, you can expect to see the same format, with the duo issuing another array of women’s wearables and unique unisex kicks, headlined by three buckle-equipped iterations of the Ultra BOOST, as well as two AH 001 silhouettes — a shoe inspired by the adidas Haillet, a predecessor to the iconic Stan Smith

Focusing on the footwear side of things, the shoes may be sized for women, but they can be worn by anyone that can fit them. The two silhouettes on hand include a laceless Ultra BOOST sneaker, which offers similar buckled closure akin to the HYKE Seeulater. Three colorways — black, white, and brown — are bolstered by matching speckled hues on the midsole, for extra graphic interest. Meanwhile, the other footwear silhouette is a sleek sneaker that recalls the Stan Smith and heritage Haillet model. Though HYKE remixed that shoe in 2016, the new model dubbed the “AOH 001,” is slightly different, stripping the tongue branding and heel paneling for an even simpler shape. HYKE’s preferred snakeskin pattern graces one model, while the other is executed entirely in pristine white leather.

The unisex footwear and women’s apparel has already hit stores in Japan, but will finally be seeing its global release at select stores like SNS and adidas.com on June 13th. Prices for the Ultra BOOST options are locked in at $280 a pop, whilst the Haillet-inspired sneakers are capped at $140.
