adidas Basketball Could Unveil J Dub's First Shoe on Asia Tour

adidas Basketball has officially announced the J DUB TOUR across Asia, starring Jalen Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The news arrives days after Anthony Edwards took on the Philippines, in part to unveil the adidas Anthony Edwards 3.

Williams will be in Shanghai from Aug. 20–23 and in Tokyo between Aug. 24–26. Specifics about the versatile player's plans in Asia are still unknown, but the visit east could mean the Three Stripes is finally ready to unveil the first signature shoe for "J Dub."

Conversely, Williams could simply be laying the foundation for an eventual launch of his personal model sometime ahead of the 2027-28 NBA season while promoting the retro release of the Harden Vol. 1, his shoe of choice in promo visuals for the J DUB TOUR.

Jalen "J-Dub" Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder is having an admirable 2025-26 NBA season. His 17.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists averages have been important to his team's first place spot in the Western Conference. The 24-year-old has been putting up numbers for a little while—so much so that he's become vital to the future of adidas Basketball.

Over the last few seasons, J-Dub has been lacing up special-editions from the adidas Harden series. He's helped make the Harden Vol. 10 one of the league's more eye-catching silhouettes. And while it's likely the Denver-native will close out the current campaign wearing the former Thunder guard's 10th signature model, it seems Williams' own adidas sig. is on the horizon.

In a recent spot by adidas Basketball, Harden and Williams are chatting while they tour the former's home. Captioned with the message "Treat every one like it’s your first," the video captures a moment in which Harden tells Williams that he's already got a spot for his sneaker within his walk-in closet.

The Three Stripes hasn't confirmed nor denied a signature sneaker for J-Dub, but the teaser is clear.
