James Harden has low-key unveiled his fourth signature sneaker, with the 2018 MVP spotted hooping in the adidas Harden Vol. 4 in a preseason training session ahead of the 2019-20 NBA season earlier this week.
The patriotic colorway may have in fact been made for the star’s intended participation at the FIBA World Cup, instead of being unveiled on the practice courts of Rico Hines in Los Angeles. The pair features a black mesh upper paired with matching suede overlays — an oversized all-encasing -to-heel panel and tapered toe box — along with white panels at the lateral eyelets and medial midfoot. Jet-black midsoles and tri-colored outsoles complete the design. It’s interesting to note that the pair does not appear to feature BOOST cushioning like the previous three models, appearing to favor adidas’ hoops-specific Litestrike tech instead.
Take in a detailed look at James Harden’s adidas Harden Vol. 4 in action below, and expect an official release date to be announced over the coming weeks.
