When adidas announced back in early 2020 that Harlem-born entertainer, comedian, party host, DJ, and all-around weirdo Kerwin Frost was being on-boarded as a brand creator, we were equally excited and terrified for the future. And we were absolutely right to feel that way, with collaborations like his Superstuffed Superstar and horrific Forum Hi “Humanchives”feeding both feelings perfectly. His latest rollout was an epic yeti suit — and now it appears that there will be a matching pair of kicks to go with it: the Kerwin Frost x adidas Microbounce T1 “Yeti”
An interesting choice, the Microbounce model is as niche as Kerwin himself, the pair — like the model _ lays somewhere between heritage and futuristic. The former is tributed by the signature blue hues used, with a twist of grey that honors OG colorways past. The futuristic midsole tech follows in hue, and is wrapped in silver soles and midsole pieces. Its upper of shaggy fleece arrives in a similar style to the aforementioned yeti suit, with velour-like laces and Kerwin Frost-branded tongues completing the design.
