Kiké Hernández officially took the field at Fenway Park tonight wearing an all-new, mint-colored pair of the Bad Bunny x adidas BadBo 1.0 baseball cleats against the Boston Red Sox.

This isn't the first time that the Los Angeles Dodgers' Enrique Hernández helps unveil a special project by his fellow Puerto Rican, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio: In March, Hernández and the rest of team Puerto Rico were gifted custom BadBo 1.0 cleats by Bad Bunny. The gift saw the superstar reggaetonero's debut signature sneaker with adidas Originals with a made-for-baseball update across tooling. The result was a cultural and sports crossover that maintained modern performance standards.

Tonight's BadBo 1.0 cleat unveiling by Kiké Hernandez is special because it demonstrates Bad Bunny and the Three Stripes' mutual interest in celebrating culture, style, and sport. Additionally, it could kickstart a trend of the Dodgers utility player unveiling themed cleats against his opponents as he eases back into baseball after injury. The minty design could be a nod to Fenway's "Green Monster."

The new pair abandons the "BB" a "PR" embroidery seen on custom gifts for Team Puerto Rico in time for the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC). Instead, the white-and-mint-clad style features the adidas Badge of Sport logo on the collar's lateral side.

Could this mean adidas Dugout and Bad Bunny plan on releasing pairs on adidas.com? It's unlikely, but more elevated product should be in the works from the baseball-obsessed team.
