Fresh off its 30th-anniversary celebration of Torsion tech, adidas will be taking their revered lineage into its fourth decade with another trip down memory lane. Across 2020 and 2021, the brand is revisiting its A-ZX concept, a project from 2008-09 that enlisted a wide range of global partners to put their touch of a bevy of 26 lettered ZX releases. Now already a few deep into the pack, including notables from atmos and Juventus, it’s time to get a little playful. Enter the LEGO x adidas ZX 8000 for the letter “L” — which will quite obviously be what most of us will be taking home on the release.

The Danish giants may be 71 years in age, but the ever-youthful brand continually stays relevant through special projects like this — one which will harken back childhood memories for sneakerheads young and old. And as you would expect, the pair is popped with a bevy of primary colors, though matched with a neutral base as to not overwhelm the wearer. All plastics appear to arrive with the famous molded interlocking studs, with dubraes, eyelets, and heel clips all featuring the finish. Midsoles teased show a striking all-yellow finish, while a punchy red rubber outsole sits beneath. Globally-recognized LEGO-branded tongue tags sit atop the tongues to complete the design.
