Every time Lionel Messi’s name is attached to a new adidas F50 release, it signals a marquee moment for football footwear, and the upcoming adidas F50 Messi Elite FG “Tunit” is no exception. Set to launch this summer, the latest installment revisits one of the most iconic design eras in F50 history, drawing direct inspiration from the beloved Tunit models of the late 2000s.
Specifically modeled after the F50 Tunit models between 2007 and 2009, the new design carries over the signature sweeping midfoot line that connects to a bold Three Stripe motif at the lateral toe. This distinct mark was a staple of Messi’s early years and makes a triumphant return here.

Visually, the boot balances sharp modern updates with nostalgic cues. The upper splits between a crisp white forefoot and a metallic silver heel wrap, with black contrast detailing that mirrors some of Messi’s earliest signature boots. His name is prominently placed along the midfoot in retro-styled branding, further reinforcing the throwback theme.
Underfoot, the pair is fitted with an iridescent spike plate for an extra flash of flair, while chrome-finished tongues round out the luxurious build.
The adidas F50 Messi “Tunit” is expected to release in Summer 2025 via adidas.com in all models from Indoor to Elite.
