The 2026 FIFA World Cup™ tournament is inching closer. Some squads like Jamaica are still looking to qualify for the North America-hosted event while others have long been favorites to lift up football's grandest accolade on July 19.
Argentina and Lionel Messi are in the latter group.
As defending champions, "La Albiceleste" is heavily-favored to win it all consecutively—specifically considering the next edition of the World Cup™ will likely be Messi's final as an active player. Argentina's number 10 is no longer the flea-reminiscent baller he was a decade ago, but he continues being his country's nucleus, something he's also shown during his time in Major League Soccer's (MLS) Inter Miami.
Since joining the South Florida-based club, Messi and his Three Stripes family have prepped and launched several capsules rooted in the tropical aesthetic of the greater Miami area. The partnership's latest Icon-related release is no different.

Messi's latest work with the adidas Originals and Football teams are worthy of a "Miami" moniker due to the "Flash Aqua," "Halo Mint," and "Lucid Pink" tones that take over pairs of the Superstar, Samba, and F50. Footwear styles launched alongside Inter Miami's Third Kit for the 2025 season followed a similar color palette. The reappearance of South Beach-friendly hues speaks to the importance of Messi's time in the MLS—especially in anticipation of the World Cup™, which will see the majority of its matches played across the U.S.—and the ushering in of spring.
As with previous product from the Three Stripes' partnership with the Argentine, Messi's logo makes its way across each pair's design. "Lucid Pink" or shimmering "Gold Metallic" animate the M-shaped emblem. The "shell-toe" sees faux-aged details while the Samba opts for a classic gum brown sole unit. By comparison, the adidas F50 features a modern SPRINTFRAME 360 sole unit ready to unlock the world-captivating play of athletes like Messi.
Enjoy detailed shots of the Miami-inspired collection ahead. Pairs have become rolling out via adidas.com and select retailers as of Tuesday, Feb. 17. Takedown, Turf, and Indoor editions of the Messi F50 are expected to launch in Adult and Youth sizing.
