Fresh off its efforts inspired by Josuha Tree and Yellowstone in late 2020, the National Parks Foundation has teamed up with adidas Originals once again to release a special edition ZX 10000 inspired by Oregon’s Crater Lake National Park.
Capturing the essence of the vast, awe-inspiring lake, the pair presents in cooling blues, calming greys, and subtle pinks that channel the surrounds of Crater Lake. The piercing blues of the water are quite obviously noted at the CORDURA upper, tongues, liners, and — for summer water — light aqua at the heel clip and medial pull. Surrounding rock is remarkably translated into its rear and forefoot suede paneling, midsole and outsole, while the aforementioned pink pops channel both the lake’s gorgeous pink-tinted rockface and West Coast sunsets. Akin to collabs past, the pair is completed by NPF-branded heel pulls and Velcro tongue patches up top.
