After a setting 2017-18 alight with collabs, it’s been very, very quiet for N*E*R*D x adidas NMD Hu colorways, but in 2021 — likely to celebrate the 20th anniversary of N*E*R*D’s In Search of… album — that’s all about to change, with a brand new colorway set to kick things off over the Summer season.
According to Complex, the pair is tipped to arrive in a light, bright mix of “Chalk White, Glow Orange, and Clear Mint, depicted in the official adidas mock-up below. The right foot features an embroidered N*E*R*D logo vertically with a Clear Mint heel tab and a Glow Orange liner, while the left shoe uses Chinese characters and flips the colors for the tab and liner respectively. As has been the case with all recent NMD Hu’s, the pair won’t feature the Trail sole seen on their first link-ups.
Update 07.13.21 Originally pegged for a March 2021 release, an official image and product page for the pair has just surfaced, indicating a proximal release — and given the light bright color scheme, one would suggest that a Summer release is on the cards.
