Earlier this year, it was announced that renowned artist Pharrell Williams would take the reins as Louis Vuitton's Creative Director of Menswear. Despite the significant responsibility, his longstanding collaboration with adidas remains unaffected — in fact, it's seemingly gaining more momentum as Skateboard P's Humanrace sublabel sneakers have begun to surface in more frequent numbers.
It's next, a Pharrell x adidas Samba Humanrace dressed completely in lavender purple tones, harkens back to William's 2015 adidas Supercolor series, where the artist dressed 50 pairs of Superstars in tonal hues.
When lined up against his recent Samba releases, emphasized, this iteration brings the classic's elongated tongue closer in size to the original. It's also delivered completely in premium leather, forgoing classic suede overlays, whilst heritage gum soles are swapped out for tones to match the mood of the upper.
See for yourself below, and expect to see this new Pharrell x adidas Samba Humanrace colorway hit the shelves of select retailers and adidas.com soon.
