adidas is making it their mission to link up with the biggest and most fanatical franchises in the entertainment world. From last year’s epic Dragonball Z capsule to the too-many-to-count Star Wars releases this year — and who could forget their adidas Hoops x Marvel Universe mashups? Now its time for fans of the pocket monsters to get their fix. That’s right, after a handful of leaks from earlier this year, Pokémon x adidas is officially a thing. But while those pairs haven’t been sighted since, this set of official images confirms the collaboration.
Here we see an 8-bit Pikachu pop up on the timeless adidas Advantage’s heel, with matching mini digital creatures scattered on the liner’s print. Aside from those two details, the pair remains pretty tame; an all-white leather pair capped at the heel with a black leather overlay and a white cupsole. The pair is completed with stock white laces, and co-branded tongues and insoles.
