The RIMOWA x adidas NMD_S1 Releases November 17

Outside of the adidas Originals line, the biggest buzz for the brand has surely been about their newest NMD_S1 design, a silhouette that saw a major overhaul for the series for the first time in its short history. With the debut releases drumming up considerable hype, it’s expected that the Three Stripes will roll out a slew of collaborations to keep the momentum moving forward — and for the silhouette’s first, they’ve tapped fellow German brand RIMOWA.

The premium luggage manufacturers — like most German companies — know a thing or two about quality. And whilst there’s no parallel, aluminum grooves that are familiar to the brand are visible, functional pull tabs at the heel and robust laces appear on the sneaker, adding to the already heavy-duty-looking design, making this a fitting first-up effort for RIMOWA. Coloration relies mostly on grey and cream, before pops of orange work into the aforementioned laces and heels, as well as the co-branded tongue and rear pulls that complete the design.
