As has been the case throughout his career, Ronnie Fieg’s Clarks Originals Collaboration is improving with age. Debuting in 2021 with a handful of tonal athletic/dress shoe hybrids, the second season saw a tilt toward more playful options. His third collection with Clarks lifted the bar again with a sportier aesthetic — but his next is by far his best yet.
Bringing along big-name adidas and their best-selling Samba silhouette for the ride, a crafted built-up sneaker made of English Steads suede, the same suede used on the beloved classic Clarks Wallabees.
Fieg is known for his attention to detail; this collaboration is no different. The designer ensured that the collection is the most authentic 3-way partnership he has worked on. To achieve this, the team used the same classic grade-A crepe shipped from Clark’s supplier to the Adidas factory, resulting in a high-quality sneaker that is authentic to its core.
The collaboration wasn’t without its challenges, however. The team underwent five rounds of samples and 18 months of work to ensure that the end product met Fieg’s high standards. The hard work paid off, as the 8th St. Samba is a stunning delivery, with each of its three colorways living up to the Fieg name.
The new Ronnie Fieg x Clarks x adidas Samba collection will be released on Friday, March 24th, via KITH.com and KITH retail locations.
