adidas Move to the Dark Side with this Darth Vader Edition of the NMD

adidas’ three-pronged Star Wars collection is getting ever-more intriguing with it’s the latest installment to the “Character Collection” with the franchise’s most recognizable villain, Darth Vader, Next to receive his evil-exclusive. Like the previously-previewed Rey and Yoda pairs, Vaders too comes with gradient effects on the midsole. It arrives anchored down in all-black, as you’d expect, but as for the use of orange? I’m confused. Granted, I’m not the world’s biggest Warsie, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen that color associated with Anakin Skywalker’s future alter ego. Red, sure — to match his lightsaber — but not orange. The only explanation I can come to terms with is that — perhaps — a Darth Maul edition is on the way, too. Completing the design is the iconic silhouette of Vader on the tongue, and the famous quote on the heel “Join me and together we can rule the galaxy (as father and son)”, spoken to Luke right after revealing that he is his father.
