adidas Recognize Rey on Their Next Star Wars Sneaker

adidas’ three-pronged Star Wars collection is getting ever-more intriguing with it’s the latest installment to the “Character Collection” with scavenger Jedi Rey honored on this NMD R1. It arrives in it’s expected colorway of bone and tan, as is her standard garb. Like the accompanying Yoda pair we previewed last week, it too sports a graidnet and medial stripe to represent the character’s Light Saber color — with Rey’s of course in a vibrant light blue. But it’s the heel detail that’s got this guy very interested. It reads “Light. Darkness. A balance” — further adding weight to the speculation that Rey turns to the Dark Side after completing her Jedi training in the upcoming The Rise of Skywalker film — the movie in which this entire collection celebrates. For those of you who missed it, a sizzle reel in the leadup to the film’s debut has Rey rocking out in Sith Order duds and wielding a red double-sided lightsaber like the one villain Darth Maul used in the prequels. She is spotted on the tongue rocking the single-sided saber, though, and the pair is complete with tan EVA inserts, co-branded insoles, and Star Wars-logo’d dubraes.
