British fashion designer Grace Wales Bonner has had her fair share of love from the sneaker community. In 2020, her surprise collaboration with adidas on a collection of sportswear which blended her signature style with the brand’s iconic aesthetic. The collection featured a range of items, including tracksuits, sneakers, and jackets, that incorporated both Wales Bonner’s unique design elements and adidas’ recognizable Three Stripes and Trefoil motifs. Amongst those was the adidas Samba, a sneaker that remains the brand’s second biggest-selling athletic shoe of all time. But despite the love it gets in the sports circle, on;y recently has it found itself front and center in the fashion world — and Bonner is a big contributor to that. Now, for her F/W adidas collection, Grace Wales Bonner will bring back the Samba, as well as a duo of woven SL72s, redescend in her signature preppy bohemian aesthetic.

First looks at three of her upcoming footwear options have been revealed by sources close to House of Heat, including a metallic silver-clad Samba, complete with decorative cream embroidery and classic dark gum soles, and a duo of woven and nubuck-built SL 72s. The latter arrives in both brown and green options — both popped with burnt orange and cream accents. There’s also a nubuck-constructed Samba on the way, though visuals are currently unavailable.

A collection of apparel is also expected to be revealed soon.
