Official Looks at the First Four NMD V2 Releases

It’s been a long time coming, but adidas is finally set to embark on a second version of the once-highly revered NMD silhouette. While it’s true that the Three Stripes focus has been elsewhere, namely the Ultra BOOST as well as all-new silhouettes, it looks like that in 2020, the NMD will have the undivided attention that it deserves.

The NMD V2 arrives recognizable, but differences are plenty. EVA inserts have been toned down, with less protrusion and smaller sizes, but the back piece now rides up the Pirmeknit to lock in the new horizontal heel pull. The Primeknit upper now arrives in distinct sections, with the tongue-to-toe portion arriving in a wider weave, while thick taping now covers around half of the Three Stripe detailing on the profile, as well as an NMD-branded forefoot sticker. In a final reduction, the clunky heel piece has been removed.

The NMD V2 is ready for launch on November 23rd in the black/blue/red option you see below, followed by a three-piece pack on December 1st. Stores like Finish Line will be stocking the drops, as well as adidas.com, but a price point is yet to be specified — we’re tipping it will be around $130.
