Honers of some of the finest, most technical fabrications known to man, Japans’ White Mountaineering has been a breath of fresh air with their technical collaborative partnerships with adidas. And once again, the outdoor label is taking their talents from the trail to the concrete jungle with a two-piece pack of rugged LXCONs.
The pairs in question were first previewed at Paris Fashion Week last year, both of which came completely overhauled, retooled in signature WM stylings. Heavy-duty uppers and glazed overlays lay the foundation for a classic trail sneaker, while technical inclusions like it’s tri-buckle lock-down in place of the laces double up as the lateral’s Three Stripe branding. Of course, it wouldn’t be White Mountaineering without the overt use of their brand name, seen printed on the midsole and TPU piping and signature button/triangle heel inclusion. All of this sits atop a heavily-decorated midsole and, surprisingly, an un-tweaked outsole.
Take a peep at both offerings of the White Mountaineering x adidas LXCON below, which are set to hit adidas.com on September 25th. Expect accompanying apparel to be part of the launch, which will also be available on adidas.com on the day.
