AMIRI Explores Nocturnal Los Angeles for Spring/Summer 2027

AMIRI’s Spring/Summer 2027 men’s and women’s collection turns its focus to Los Angeles after dark, exploring the city through a lens of ease, glamour, seduction, and sophistication.

Titled “American Pleasures,” the collection continues Mike Amiri’s cinematic approach to design, drawing from the atmosphere of Malibu at sunset, Beverly Hills at midnight, private clubs, hotel bars, and the quiet decadence of Hollywood nightlife. The mood is louche and languid, with the city recast as a place of shifting identities, where casual dress and formalwear move in and out of focus.

“I’m always fascinated by this idea of ease — the idea of an American attitude, how to translate that to clothing,” Mike Amiri says. “For AMIRI, I always want to combine that with glamour — for him, and for her.”

That balance sits at the center of the season. Tailoring is softer and more fluid, with gently sloped shoulders and proportions that move around the body rather than sit rigidly against it. The collection plays with the ceremony of dressing and undressing, pairing denim with tailored blazers, mixing houndstooth and herringbone with pattern, and bringing eveningwear details into more relaxed forms.

The palette is built around a moonlit Los Angeles, using espresso, tobacco, and midnight navy as a base before introducing flashes of venom green, burnt sunset, lavender, silver, and gold. Materials carry much of the visual impact, with silk and linen woven with lurex, classic suiting fabrics treated with subtle iridescence, and metallic pinstripes adding a quiet Hollywood sheen.

References to legendary Los Angeles interiors also shape the collection. The Formosa Cafe, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, and secluded mansions in the hills inform decorative elements such as zebra patterns, lacquered finishes, and American-Asian-inspired embroideries. These ideas were carried into the scenography at Paris’ Carreau du Temple, bringing the mood of Hollywood at night into a daytime Paris setting.

Accessories also play a key role this season. AMIRI introduces the Biscotto, a new bag named for its folded, fortune cookie-like shape. Soft and relaxed, the bag arrives in two sizes and several treatments, including leather, chain mail, and crystal, finished with refined gold-tone hardware.

Spring/Summer 2027 also marks an important first for the house, with AMIRI debuting a fine jewelry collaboration with Spinelli Kilcollin. Founded by Yves Spinelli and Dwyer Kilcollin, the Los Angeles-based jewelry brand joins AMIRI for a project that brings together two West Coast luxury voices.

With Spring/Summer 2027, AMIRI continues to define its version of American elegance: instinctive, personal, relaxed, and glamorous, shaped by the tension between nightlife, intimacy, and the ritual of getting dressed.
