Whether you love him or hate him, Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez is currently the biggest draw in boxing. Tonight, he steps inside the ring for a "Once in a Lifetime" fight against Terence Crawford. For his weigh-in and fight night outfits, the Mexican boxer will wear custom AMIRI.
A longtime fan and Global Brand Ambassador, Álvarez has previously worn designs by Mike Amiri. His Las Vegas bout, however, will see the 35-year-old don a regal black-and-gold ensemble. A hooded robe and matching shorts are constructed from premium, soft velvet and don both Álvarez's signature insignia and AMIRI branding. Each piece includes gold fringe at the sides, which couples with the red, white, and green found on Mexico's flag for a nod to the boxer's country.
Underfoot, Amiri's brand flexes its technical expertise with custom footwear fit for Canelo's performance needs. The pair of boxing boots feature many of the same details as the aforementioned velvet duo, but is constructed with a mix of nubuck, leather, and mesh. MA-shaped tread blends fashion and performance to the exact specifications of the world-class athlete.
