ANTA officially opened its very first U.S. retail store in Beverly Hills — and used the moment to make an even bigger statement. During the grand opening, Klay Thompson signed his landmark lifetime deal with the brand, solidifying ANTA’s long-term commitment to the American basketball market. To mark the occasion, Klay was also presented with a special 1-of-1 pair of ANTA sneakers that Stephen Curry wore during the All-Star Game, a symbolic gesture that underscored the brand’s growing footprint at the highest level of the sport.
Amid that momentum, I had the opportunity to sit down with Kyrie Irving to discuss his evolving partnership with ANTA and the continued growth of the ANTA KAI line. The Beverly Hills launch wasn’t just about retail — it was about positioning. From performance innovation to cultural storytelling, ANTA made it clear that this U.S. debut is part of a larger strategy.
One of the most personal moments of the evening came during the ribbon cutting, when Kyrie’s daughter joined him. When asked about sharing that milestone with her, Kyrie said he “doesn’t take those moments for granted.” It was a concise but telling response, highlighting how family remains central to his perspective amid major professional milestones.
We also discussed the moment Stephen Curry laced up the ANTA KAI 3. Kyrie described it as weird at first but a great weird, and that Kyrie hopes Steph will join ANTA.
The celebration extended beyond Beverly Hills, continuing at ANTLAND on the Santa Monica boardwalk, where ANTA engaged fans and showcased its expanding ecosystem.
