END x ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Pearl” Releases October 16

When it comes to collaborative retailers, there are not many storefronts that rival Britain’s END. Through the years, the menswear merchants have delivered some bonafide bangers — including 2018’s “Wasabi” GEL-Lyte III, a personal favorite of mine. But that status may be rivaled by their newest offering on the same silhouette, with the grey, sail, and pink END x ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Pearl” appearing in celebration of the sneaker’s 30th anniversary.

Though not much is known about its inspiration, the pair is incredibly calming, with warming creams at the collar and midsole set off against supple grey suedes and soft-yet-strong pops of pink throughout. Insoles arrive in a blissful Milky Way-like finish, with vibrant pinks blending into oranges, purple, and whites in a dreamy effect. Completing the design is a milky-translucent rubber outsole, co-branded heel embroidery, and special printed lace tips.
