Matin Kim x ASICS GEL-SONOMA 15-50 Collection is Coming Soon

Despite years of political tension between Japan and South Korea, two of the most innovative imprints from these countries have come together to create a new collection. ASICS, known for delivering top-shelf footwear for decades, has joined forces with South Korean designer Matin Kim to bring a fresh take on the GEL-Sonoma 15-50.

Matin Kim’s reworked version of the futuristic silhouette is presented in three different colorways, all inspired by the beauty of nature. The “Tracing Ego” collection takes an outdoors-ready approach with lightweight and breathable bases, sturdy leather, canvas, and other panels throughout the upper. The color palettes, including “Oasis Green/Pure Silver,” “Black/Pure Silver,” and “Glacier Grey/White,” draw inspiration from scenes in nature, such as the sky or a field of flowers.
