Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon’s legendary animated series Rick and Morty will be joining forces with ASICS for a special-edition capsule consisting of two colorways of the rarely-sighted Court MZ.

The Warner Brothers-owned franchise get schwifty with two takes of the silhouette, the first of which arrives in a simple white leather construct. Though the teaser images don’t give much away, it can be seen that steps have been taken to give the pair an intergalactic feel, with metallic silver mid-foot overlays and translucent crystal sole units feeding the theme. Depicted at the lateral ankle are the titular characters’ heads, motifs which appear to surface again at the forefoot dubraes. Other indications to the show include neon green accents as a nod to the show’s portal guns and Rick Sanchez’s infamous “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub” on the sock liner.

The second colorway features the famous Mr. Meeseeks as the overarching theme. The character’s uneasy expression features prominently at the lateral heel, while little tufs of protruding orange hair can be seen just above. Dusty purple suedes cap the toe, while blue velvet is used for the eyelet, heel and midfoot overlays. All of this is set atop a solid sail sole unit that’s attached via contrast black stitching.

Both colorways of the Rick and Morty x ASICS Court MZ are expected to touch down at select ASICS retailers and on ASICS.com soon, though a confirmed date has not yet been set. Until then, enjoy a first look at the pairs here below, and be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
