Switching sides.
Just yesterday on the ‘gram, we reposted a handful of our best sneaker concepts from the past 12 months — and it was met with incredible love and support. Again, our fans still question why we’re yet to work with Jordan Brand and/or Nike and one fan suggested I take my talents to the Three Stripes. So I did — my first ever adidas colorway from the Concept Lab. It’s not because I dislike adidas — in fact, I love adidas — its because their silhouettes have always had the guile to take on big risks with the market, leaving me with a less effective cut through. But hey — I’ve still got ideas for the Three Stripes, and here’s one I’ve had since 2015 — and it’s finally been put to paper (well… Photoshop to be precise) This conceptual adidas Ultra BOOST “Bruce Lee” would have torn the market apart in 2015/16, had it been released (and probably still would today). Blacked-out soles were still a hot thing for customizers, and the Bruce Lee wave was still rolling 5 years post the Kobe 5.
It might be too late now for the Ultra BOOST to deliver another bonafide banger — but like all good things, it’s time will come around again, and hopefully, this could be part of the next wave. Stay tuned, because we’ve got a few more Three Stripe concepts on the way from my favorite adidas silhouettes at the moment, including the LXCON, Streetball, Ozweego and the Superstar.
