Over the past week, we’ve been visiting a set of Air Jordan Samples from 2006/2007 that never saw the light of day. We found the old images floating around a few defunct sneaker blogs from the period, images which have since been confirmed to be snapped by Nice Kicks’ founder Matt Halfhillback in the day. And now, after uncovering an Air Jordan 5 “Grey/Burgundy” and a “Citrus” Air Jordan 3, we bring you a third pair from the showing, this unreleased Air Jordan 5 “Midnight Navy” Sample — a pair we also covered in our 10 Best Unreleased Air Jordan 5 Samples Ever Madelist. from early last year.

Like the previously-previewed Grey/Burgundy sample, this Midnight Navy pair was part of Jordan Brand’s 2006 release deliberations and unfortunately didn’t make the cut. And even though the image is a little grainy (top-tier for 2006 standards) you can just tell the quality is on-point — just look at that leather!

It’s not beyond Jordan Brand to revisit past samples for a general release, so here’s hoping we see these hit retail one day in the near future. Until then, enjoy a look at the pair above, and our mock-up below, and be sure to tell us your thoughts on the concept over on Instagram!
