Concept Lab // Air Jordan 9 “Hyper Royal”

We’re taking it back to mid-2019 with today’s concept, with a semi-original idea that we’ve now re-labeled the Air Jordan 9 “Hyper Royal”

This mock-up was actually used as a lead-up visual for 2020’s “Racer Blue” Air Jordan 9 and was based on a black/blue sample Jordan from the early-mid 2000s. Of course, first looks at the upcoming Air Jordan 9 revealed something a little less in-your-face, but our avid followers had already fallen in love with our speculative Photoshop — the OG post literally broke our website —so we’re deciding to add it to our Concept Lab lineup.

Matte black leather uppers, along with matching tongues, outsoles and liners set up the Hyper Royal patent leather overlays and midsoles to pop in a way that white leather just can’t provide. Tonal black lace stays and white branding hits complete our design.
