NASA is no stranger to sneaker collaborations, having linked up with both Vans and adidas in recent times — the latter literally ending up outside our stratosphere. Now the US authority in all-things interstellar return to Earth with a three-piece collaboration with Converseacross two silhouettes,
The partnership delivers two options of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 100, and one on the low-top Stars & Bars, all of which are reportedly built with high-density polyethylene Tyvek fabric for the upper — an ode to astronaut uniforms. The Meatball-bearing Chuck boasts beautiful blue-tinted sole units, the other a standard egret finish — both sporting oversized meter-inspired All Star badging on the medial side. The Stars & Bars Low reverts to something a little more typical, with simple black accents, met with metallic silvers at the midfoot, and NASA’s worm logo in the rear.
