Korean collaborators have been responsible for some of the finest footwear offerings of the past 18 months, with the likes of Kasina and PEACEMINUSONE delivering unique takes on some of the world’s most iconic sneakers. Now, fellow countrymen thisisneverthat get their shot at what is arguably the most recognizable sneaker — the Chuck Taylor — and all-time classic One Star with Converse tapping the Korean imprint for two heritage-inspired colorways.

Said to be inspired by the all-American brand’s archives, the stand-out in the collection, these Chuck Taylor Hi sneakers are crafted with soft suede uppers – styled in lemon yellow – then fitted with aged rubber midsoles to drive home the vintage aesthetic. It’s all in the subtle details, though, with serial number branding and engraved metal eyelets that tie together the retro look.

The One Star is the second piece in the line-up, but holds its own against the bonafide icon it arrives with. Crafted with deep navy nubuck uppers, that sit up top of roughed black midsoles for a vintage look. The Fragment-like serial number branding provides a signature touch, while the retro toe bumpers and high foxing tape reiterate the old-school aesthetic.
