“Back to the Future” Celebrates 40th Anniversary with Time Machine-Inspired Crocs
And just like that, 40 years have gone by since the premiere of Robert Zemeckis' Back to the Future film. The milestone occasion is being celebrated with special screenings on Friday, Oct. 31 in addition to a number of other efforts—including a Crocs Classic Clog collaboration.
The beloved movie starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd lends several of its visual cues to the laceless slip-on, creating a product that's sure to be enjoyed by numerous generations. The pair features flame graphics along its midsole, evoking images of Dr. Emmett Brown's DeLorean DMC-12 modified into a time machine. Other nods to the stainless steel vehicle arrive in the form of a flux capacitor and time circuits-shaped Jibbitz™ charms on the heel straps. Other detachable decorations reference Marty McFly's red vest and hoverboard, and OUTATIME California license plate.
Lightning motifs round out the Back to the Future-inspired project, taking over most of the bio-circular Croslite™ upper.
Enjoy official photos of the time machine-informed Classic Clog style ahead. Pairs should release via Crocs.com soon.
Away from the world of footwear, the Adidas Trionda is available now, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ tournament.
