This Crocs Classic Clog Is in A New York State of Mind
If you've never visited New York City, you can't be blamed, but you're missing out. Regardless of whether or not you believe its the "greatest city on earth," the land of the Yankees, Knicks, Empire State Building, and plethora of other iconic franchises, landmarks, and people has left its mark on the planet as we know it. Thanks to Crocs, you'll soon be able to enjoy the Big Apple without having to spend a fortune on a trip.
Official photos acquired by Elden Monitors reveal an all-new pair of the Classic Clog inspired by New York City. Far more ornate than the style dedicated to Mexico, the impending drop's bio-circular Croslite™ material indulges in a greyscale graffiti "bombing" that harkens back to the days of Phase 2, Lee Quiñones, and other pioneering artists of the 1970s. Peace symbols are depicted alongside cats, telephones, arrows, and other motifs that come together to recreate a mural.
What steals the show on the Crocs Classic Clog, however, is unquestionably the set of Jibbitz™ charms included with the pair. Eight different detachable ornaments accompany the style, introducing vibrant colors to the predominantly muted ensemble. Charms draw inspiration from NYC's skyline, as well as yellow cabs, pepperoni pizza slices, hot dogs, and green-colored street signage. Remaining Jibbitz™ take after the city's Big Apple moniker, I Love New York slogan and logo (designed in 1976 by Milton Glaser), and manholes.
Together, each aforementioned component helps deliver a pair of clogs that's undeniably—perhaps obnoxiously—New York.
