The $395 MARNI x HOKA Bondi B3LS Arrives April 4
HOKA ONE ONE might've been founded as a performance-first company back in 2009, but the last 16 years have seen the French brand take over the lifestyle space. Folks required to be on their feet all day co-signed silhouettes like the Clifton 6 and 7 throughout 2020 and 2021, with renowned fashion houses also giving their stamps of approval to HOKA's lineup. The latest seems like MARNI.
Reported via the platform formerly called Twitter by Modern Notoriety, the mysterious pair resembles the trail-informed Mafate Speed 2, a model that's already been reworked by British retailer END. Clothing and Moncler. MARNI's Bondi B3LS collaboration abandons most of the shoe's highly-technical build in favor of a fashionable update that's more suitable for the runway than French Alps. A puffy textile upper omits the fur-heavy looks of the Italian label's viral slippers, but its tonal fluorescent orange (and other finishes) still makes a statement. An initial look of the reworked silhouette features a pull-tab and chunky midsole, but Vibram traction isn't visible in the first photos. It could, however, still appear across the outsole.
Highsnobiety has taken to social media to share a closer look at the MARNI x HOKA collaboration, which is set to release in four tonal colorways next month. The reworked running silhouette is priced at $395 and set to release via MARNI's channels on Thursday, April 3, followed by a launch via HOKA on Friday, April 4.
