Donovan Mitchell Trolled Dwyane Wade With Hilarious Parting Gift
A historic career for Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade draws nearer to the end with each passing game. After announcing his planned retirement at the end of the 2018-19 NBA season, Wade has begun a more casual version of the Kobe Farewell Tour — or as he calls it, One Last Dance.
After an emotional final game against a longtime friend and former teammate LeBron James, Wade moves on to the next stop on his tour: Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz. Mitchell has been compared incessantly to a younger Dwyane Wade in style and ability. The young NBA star had this tongue-in-cheek gift for his idol at a One Last Dance dinner:
At a private #OneLastDance dinner on Tuesday night in Utah, Donovan Mitchell gifted Dwyane Wade with a rocking chair.
Both men, more than players, are standup individuals and excellent role models. Oh, and funny as hell. pic.twitter.com/NyaZPO8jnr

It may feel easy to call someone old when you’re still doing windmill dunks in games, but time catches everyone, Donovan. It wasn’t too long ago that Wade was living up to his moniker, “The Flash,” and carrying the Miami heat on bad knees.
Wade averaged 39 points over four straight victories en route to a 2006 NBA title in his third year. Donovan Mitchell is working on his second season now. Can he catch The Flash?
