Google Lists Some Guy Named ‘Lorenzo Ferguson’ on Lakers Roster Instead of Lonzo Ball
The Los Angeles Lakers are flying up the Western Conference standings, but there seems to be some confusion as to who is actually on the team. If you search the Lakers’ roster on Google, the algorithms-that-be seem to think that some dashing, enigmatic gentleman named Lorenzo Ferguson plays point guard for them.
If you dig a bit deeper wondering who on earth Mr. Ferguson is… he’s apparently Lonzo Ball. With a fedora.

We have so many questions.
First of all, who the hell is Lorenzo Ferguson? Is he a real person? Or perhaps he is being used as a way to draw the media away from Lonzo Ball and his family? Who is this a photograph of?
Secondly, why does Lonzo not appear on these Google searches? The only image of Ferguson that pops up at all is the now-infamous fedora photo. While this man looks nothing like Lonzo whatsoever, Alphabet Inc. seems to have linked his image with a search for Ball’s name and the Lakers roster.
Whatever is occurring here is certainly strange. The 21-year-old point guard from Chino Hills is slowly being replaced by one Lorenzo Ferguson, a man utterly shrouded in mystery.
If you look at Ferguson’s information on Google, you will see that he not only wears No. 2 for the Lakers, but he’s earned his name on many of Lonzo’s rap songs and is even dating Ball’s partner, Denise Garcia.
Maybe it’s worth asking Denise about this.
