NBA Execs Still Believe Kevin Durant Joining Knicks is “Very Much in Play”
KD at MSG?
Happy holidays, Knicks fans. It looks like the Kevin Durant to New York rumors are alive and well.
One of the biggest stories all season long has been the possible free agent destinations for KD next offseason, and the Knicks have been reported to be at the top of the list for quite some time now (against all odds).
Now, those pieces of buzz are beginning to clarify themselves. And it’s still coming up Knicks.

KD has a player option on his contract for the 2019-20 season, and he’s expected to make the most of it. Many members of the media have speculated the All-Star would end up in New York, and those rumors are gaining some traction heading into the New Year.
Of course, there’s always the possibility the strong forward will remain with the Warriors, and even the Lakers or Clippers have been listed as potential destinations.

There’s no denying that KD deserves an absurd contract, as he’s one of the best players in the world. And the Knicks have the money to pay the man what he has earned.
Where will KD end up next season? It will likely depend on the way the rest of this season shakes out for him and the Warriors. But the Knicks not only can’t be ruled out; they have to be feared.
How’s that for a change?
