REPORT // Anthony Davis Expected to Sign Multiple Short-Term Contracts Once He Hits Free Agency
AD after the bag after-all.
There’s no doubt that New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis is one of the best players in the NBA and without question would be a highly sought-after player on the open market.
According to reports, it appears that Davis will be taking the Kevin Durant route once he’s set to hit free agency during the summer of 2020 by signing a series of short-term contracts once he opts out of his current deal — which is strange after AD was quoted earlier this month saying that he’d choose legacy over the green. 🤷🏽♂️

He’s set to be a free agent when he’s 27, which is still a young age in the NBA. Davis can then sign a few of the short-term contracts, helping him determine where he truly wants to pl and eventually cash out on a multi-year max deal by the time he’s in his early 30s.
Perhaps the Pelicans see the writing on the wall and will work out a deal to trade away AD since it appears that he doesn’t want to stay in New Orleans. There’s already been a fellow superstar who’s been vying for his team to trade for AD.
One thing’s for certain: whatever Davis decides to do once he’s a free agent, he’s going to make a lot of money.
