Suns Owner Threatening to Move Team to Seattle or Las Vegas

Suns to the city of rain? 🤷🏽‍♂️🤣

Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver doesn’t seem to be the most patient man.

Months after locking up star player Devin Booker with a contract extension, Suns general manager Ryan McDonough was fired for a “lack of action.” Now, Sarver is presenting an ultimatum to the city of Phoenix.

He said if the Phoenix City Council doesn’t approve a deal that would upgrade the Suns’ arena, he’ll move the team to Las Vegas or Seattle.

As it stands now, the $150 million upgrade doesn’t have enough votes to get passed by the Council. Sarver, however, is trying his best to flip enough votes to get it passed, but with little to no success.

If Sarver keeps his word, would the NBA allow him to move the team over a matter like this? The NFL allowed the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders to move to different cities over similar occurrences, but those were more extreme.

Could the NBA be headed back to Seattle? Is Sin City ready for a team? This could get wild.
