VIDEO // Taj Gibson Actually Tries to Block a Shot With His Shoe
Only a day losing his Aunt, the woman that raised him, Taj Gibson is back to normal on the court, with some of that signature defensive creativity. They say good defense is all about being able to improvise, adapt and overcome, and Gibson did just that:
Looks like Taj Gibson is testing some new defensive strategies 👟😂

There’s been plenty of lost shoes on court of the years, but this is the first time I can recall that anyone’s tried to use that to their advantage. The shoe ended the game with an empty stat sheet, but it did manage to funnel Nemanja Bjelica’s layup attempt directly into the outstretched hand of Karl-Anthony Towns. That’s the kind of outstanding team defense we’ve come to expect from a Thibodeau squad.
It’s good to know that, after Taj’s awful family loss, he’s back out there playing with the same heart-and-sole (I’m so sorry, I had to) as always.
