Air Jordan 1 High Patent “Black/Gold” Arrives on Cyber Monday
Although many are calling for a hiatus, the Air Jordan 1 is showing no signs of slowing down in 2020, with yet another release of the high-cut silhouetted penciled in for the back-end for 2020, with a Black and Gold Patent Leather Air Jordan 1 High OG set to arrive for the Holiday Season.
The pair leaked late last year, but not much was known about its release until today when a first look landed via @wavegod_thelegend. The low-res image confirms rumors that yes, the pair is heavily influenced by the brand’s first-ever patent leather Air Jordan 1, a black and gold mid-cut from 2003. This year’s pair mimics that in many ways, including all-black sole units stitched with golden thread, an upper fully constructed in patent leather, and eye-popping gold patent Swooshes. This year’s pair, though, does come with some key differences, including the obvious upgrade to a high cut silhouette, nylon tongues instead of patent, painted Wings in place of the original gel badge, and collars coming constructed in gold.
