Air Jordan 1 Prices Set to Rise in Again 2022

The Air Jordan 1 High will be receiving another price rise in 2022, according to reports.

As per Jordan-insider @zSneakerheadz, Jordan Brand has plans to raise the price of the Air Jordan 1 High to $180, a $10 increase from the current price of $170.

This is not the first model to receive a price increase this year, with other Nike, Inc. classics like the Air Force 1 and Air Max 97 also seeing price spikes. The move, though not officially stated, is likely due to ‘inflation’ and rising costs of labor and logistics during the COVID pandemic.

U.S. Senator for Vermont, Bernie Sanders, recently took to Twitterto call out Nike’s corporate greed, claiming that ‘(they’re) increasing its profit by 125% last year to $5.7 billion & blaming “inflation” for a 10.5% price spike on a pair of expensive sneakers made by workers in Vietnam earning less than a buck an hour while Phil Knight became $26.7 billion richer in the pandemic.’

A price rise isn’t the only chance for the model, with the model expecting to receive a new shape, starting with the upcoming Air Jordan 1 High “Chicago Reimagined”release. The Air Jordan High 85 line will still retain its OG specs and run alongside revamped mainline releases.

This will be the second price rise in as many years, with the model retailing for $160 back in 2019. In 2020, prices went up to $170, and now, come October 2022, will rise again to $180.
