Available Now // The Air Jordan 1 High Zip Surfaces in “Mystic Green”

Zip it good.

First surfacing early last year as part of Jordan Brand’s first official Women’s-exclusive range, the Air Jordan 1 High Zip caught the attention of the sneaker and fashion worlds. The debut black and white pairings were a great success, but since then, it’s seemingly fallen away from the spotlight in favor of luxurious reworkings of the traditional Retro range, like Aleali May’s Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 6, last year’s Olive Air Jordan 11 and the recent surfacing of the ultra-luxe Air Jordan 12 and trio of “Cool Grey” Air Jordan 1s. But the fashion-forward females hadn’t forgotten about this one, and right on cue, Jordan Brand is delivering an all-new colorway of the retooled icon, this time arriving in a muted “Mystic Green” colorway.

A modified form of the original from 1985, the pair noticeably ditches the profile Swooshes and lacing system, the latter replaced here by rose gold hardware. Tonge labels have shifted vertically to the medial side, and a heel pull is added for easy access. As for the color selection on this rendition, JB has utilized a smooth white leather base paired with off-white cracked leather overlays across the toe, up to the throat and the heel, with underlays arriving in muted pink. Capping off the design is a mysterious Mystic Green-iridescent effect on the collar and toe cap, one that’s reminiscent of 2017’s All-Star Air Jordan 1.
