Air Jordan 1 Low “Chicago Flip” Arrives May 24th
When these official images of the Air Jordan 1 Low “Chicago Flip” popped up in my view earlier this morning, I could have sworn to God that these had already released. I was furiously combing our articles, only to find three oh-so-similar Lows from the past 18 months. Then it dawned on me — these first came in a Mid. And bang, there it was, the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Chicago Flip”, a colorway that took the OG Chicago blocking, and flipped the black and white leathers and popped it on an all-white sole unit. That pair was an instant sell-out, and if you missed out, then this Low may be the go.
It arrives in almost identical blocking, with black uppers, Gym Red overlays, and crisp whites at the Swoosh, tongue, and sole unit — but there are a few minor tweaks. Collars and liners are now red, not white, while branding at the tongue ditches red in favor of black. Material has changed a bit, too, with black uppers reverting to leather over the Mid’s suede. Other than that, it’s almost identical — save the Low cut, of course.
