Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chinese New Year” Limited to Just 5000 Pairs
Another day, another Chinese New Year release. Fittingly, that’s also a phrase we use for the relentless wave of Air Jordan 1s that — to this day — are showing no signs of slowing down. Now, after a few teasers looks last week, official imagery for the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “CNY” has surfaced, and it brings with it the on-trend mismatched aesthetic.
It features alternating fabrications and prints, with each panel receiving its own specific finish. Shaggy grey suedes, leathers — both smooth and Chinese Lattice embossed — patchwork and prints provide the base of the sneaker, with both alternating laces and outsoles giving the full “What The CNY” experience. Capping off the design are OG-inspired heel overlays —also mismatched — crisp white midsoles and floral embroidery hits on the right forefoot and left lateral side. Oh, and the most interesting fact of this release? It’s the ONLY pair that we’ve seen pay tribute to the Year of the Rat, with the rodent paw prints printed on the right insole.
Take in an official look at the Air Jordan 1 Low “CNY” below, and find these rolling out at select Jumpman cohorts this February. Keep it locked on our Twitter Feed for updates, including a firm drop date and a comprehensive Where to Buy Guide for the release!
