Each and every year, Jordan Brand delivers its own unique capsule of Chinese New Year releases to celebrate Asia’s biggest celebration. For 2022 — the Year of the Tiger — the brand has gone above and beyond with not one, but two retro releases, along with the official return of the Jordan Legacy 312. The previously-revealed Air Jordan 6 Low will join it in both scheme and style, whilst the ultra-limited Air Jordan 1 Low OG CNY “Year of the Tiger” assumes a more literal approach to the annual animal theme.

Taking a closer look at the latter after yesterday’s official unveiling, the just-revealed official imagery shows a few more details than previously seen. Limited to just 5000 pairs, the tiger-striped release is equipped with premium upgrades throughout, including satin liners, top-shelf leathers, and bold finishes including Dior-like oversized underfoot branding, contrast stitching, and the aforementioned animal print uppers. The pair is then finished off by special tiger illustrated insoles, and special sail and gold packaging.

A release date for the Air Jordan 1 Low OG CNY “Year of the Tiger has been set in select Asian markets for December 30, but most regions will likely arrive in February. Either way, we’ll be sure to keep you posted right here on our official Twitter account with any and all updates.
