Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Tokyo Vintage” Releases March 25

Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Tokyo Vintage” Releases March 25

Paying tribute to the 1996 “Nike Hoop Heroes” event during MJ’s first visit to Japan, the Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Tokyo Vintage” is the latest release from Jordan Brand to honor the life and times of Michael Jordan.

At the event, Jordan was joined by fellow NBA players Charles Barkley, Jason Kidd, Michael Finley, Damon Staudermaier, and special guest Carl Lewis.

Though staked with big names, the most memorable moment came from a game of one-on-one, where Mike got the opportunity to play in front of the crowd against a young boy named Keijuro Matsui, who was decked out in Mike’s Alma Mater UNC uniform. Now, 27 years later, Matsui is still playing professional basketball but marks this moment as one of his career highlights.

To commemorate the event, Jordan Brand delivers this special-edition Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Tokyo Vintage” that honors the UNC throwback, and premium textured leathers from the Air Jordan 12 – the sneaker Mike was wearing in the pick-up.

The Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Tokyo Vintage” will be first released on Saturday, March 25th, at Tokyo 23 and atmos locations. The shoe will retail for $120 USD. A wider, global release is yet to be confirmed.
