Looking back to go forward is often is the case for Nike and Jordan Brand, who once again pay tribute to their storied past on this upcoming collection which highlights two iconic silhouettes of the 1980s, the Air Jordan 1 and the Air Force 1. The collection is a crossover of sorts, with the Air Jordan 1 Mid and Air Force 1 Low paying homage to each other’s OG colorways. Here, it’s the Air Jordan 1’s turn in celebrating it’s opposing silhouette, with a mismatch colorway that honors the OG Blue and Red Strap Air Force 1 High colorways from 1982 (pictured below):

For this GS Air Jordan 1 Mid, its white uppers feature OG-channeled Red and Blue Swooshes, here in an embroidered finish, with red and royal ankle flaps as an ode to the Air Force 1 High straps. Collars are done up in a non-traditional mesh and comes capped at the liner and outsole in their respective feature hues. The ’85 embroidered on the lateral ankle is a shout-out to the Air Jordan 1’s debut year, and the release comes complete with mismatched color insoles.
