Official Looks at the Motorsport-Inspired Air Jordan 1 Mid “All-Star” for 2021

Revealed back in June as part of Nike and Jordan Brand‘s plans for All-Star Weekend 2021, the Air Jordan 1 Mid “All-Star” is just one of several sneakers that will be celebrating the events (expected to be) held in Indianapolis, Indiana next year.

Though the certainty of the Weekend is dire, the planned sneaker releases will still go ahead, the first of which has appeared today by-way-of these official images below. Paying homage to the state’s unequivocal love of motorsport, the pair arrives with particular callouts to the octane-fuelled sport, with racing-inspired tongue and insole branding, and carbon fiber-like textures tacked on to the Swoosh, rear, and ankle overlays. It also ostensibly pays tribute to the original Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black/White” — a pair that release the same year the last time Indiana hosted the NBA All-Star game. It does so by mimicking the OG’s blocking and colors one-for-one — save the use of black nylon tongues in place of white. It introduces both the aforementioned textures and smooth, shiny patent leathers on the black overlays, while accents like the collar Wings motif and sole nit remain unchanged.

A release date for this “All-Star” Air Jordan 1 Low did not accompany the official image set below, but with a high likelihood that the events in Indiana will be canceled for 2021 — and with the official images available so far out from the originally-scheduled February release — you can expect to see a release of the Air Jordan 1 Mid “All-Star” arrive mush soon than expected.

Until more news arrives, you can grab a detailed look at the pair here below, and as always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
