There’s no stopping the Air Jordan 1 in 2022, it seems, with yet another new iteration of the mid-cut marvel appearing online today — this new Air Jordan 1 Mid “Lakers” — which welcomes one of Mike’s classic rivalries back into the fold.

With key franchise colors of purple and gold forming the bulk, Joran Brand has honored the Lakers home and alternate kits through piercing white mid panels and Wings motifs, and black nylon tongues and laces, respectively. The two accompanying hues also rest underfoot on the monochrome sole unit. Elsewhere, gold toes, collars, and Swooshes join a bevy of purple overlays — all in leather — with both hues hitting the tongue tags to complete the design.

While an official release date for this new Air Jordan 1 Mid “Lakers” has yet to be revealed, official images of the pair do suggest that a release won’t be too far away.
