Jordan Brand continues to support youth empowerment through its Wings Initiative, offering resources to help children succeed globally. This summer, the initiative highlights its commitment by launching an Air Jordan 1 Mid, a product of the Jordan Design Program that allows young creatives to work alongside Jordan’s top designers. The latest sneaker pays tribute to New York City's subway MTA crews, who keep the city moving smoothly.

Designed by students, the Air Jordan 1 Mid Wings "NYC Subway" reflects the city's subway aesthetics with a greyscale suede and leather upper accented by black touches, resembling the subway’s iconic style. The sneaker incorporates unique details such as a subway map-inspired Nike logo on the tongue and AIR symbols designed like subway line indicators. A tag reads, "Do not lean on doors," and reflective elements enhance visibility, mirroring the subway's eclectic vibe.

The insole features a subway map and a reverse tongue tag that thanks MTA workers, acknowledging their contributions. This model is completed with a white midsole with multi-color details, matching a multi-color Jumpman hangtag that mimics the subway lines. Special packaging includes Jordan Wings branding and subway map graphics, with the inner wrapping showcasing various NYC subway banners.

Set for a May 14, 2024 release on Nike.com, the Air Jordan 1 Mid Wings "NYC Subway" is a vibrant homage to the city's unsung heroes.
